There are 3 classes of machine learning algorithms.
Supervised learning – In this method, we must train machine to use the data. We tag the data and put in right categories. There are regression and classification model that can be used to answer any data.
Unsupervised learning – New data is used for the learning and answering questions, Many models like Clustering or Associations can be used to make sense of the data.
Reinforcement learning – We let machine learn from its own data. It finds, learns, make sense and then respond to the questions.
It is important to understand these different classes as when one is doing testing then knowing the type of classes in ML helps understands and validates the quality of responses and in terms the knowledge that the testing is working or not?
